Neuromics protein/expansion and expression vector solutions are components of our Strep-Tag and Strep-Tactin solutions.
Strep-tag is a short peptide sequence (typically about eight amino acids long) that can be genetically fused to your protein(s) of interest. This peptide tag has a high affinity for Strep-Tactin, which allows for the specific and efficient purification of the tagged protein from a mixture of many other proteins. High specificity between Strep-tag and Strep-Tactin minimizes non-specific binding, resulting in a high-purity product. The binding and elution conditions are generally mild, which helps preserve the native structure and function of the protein.
