A few weeks ago, we mentioned that Sunflower State FC (SSFC), a semi-pro soccer team from Kansas City, was kicking off their outdoor season. We’re pleased to report that they have started it off strong! Neuromics, the proud title sponsor of SSFC, loves to see the Sunflowers achieving on the field just as much as they are off the field (learn more here).
Competing in the UPSL Midwest Conference - South Premier Division, SSFC is currently sitting in second, just two points behind the first placed team. In their first four games, they have victories over Inter Wichita FC (IWFC) and Barilleros FC along with a draw against Sporting Wichita SC (SWSC).
Every match, Neuromics and SSFC collaborate to award the “Neuromics Player of the Match” to the Sunflowers' best player. We’d like to once again congratulate Shfeo Lar for picking up man of the match honors against IWFC. Also, congradulations to Girma Kassa, who has earned player of the match twice (vs. Barilleros and SWSC). In the win against Barilleros FC, Girma scored 2 goals to go along with an assist. He also had a 2 goal performance in the draw against SWSC.
