Annexin A1 (ANXA1) is a membrane-bound protein that binds phospholipids. Annexin A1 plays a role in the innate and adaptive immune systems of humans by regulating the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, and leukotriene mediators. Human Annexin A1 is overexpressed in 97% of all samples from patients with with hairy cell leukemia, and is absent in other B-cell lymphomas. Overexpression of ANXA1 is commonly associated with advanced and metastic disease states including: adenocarcinomas and advanced stage esophageal and esophagogastric junctions. MO47023 Antibody is validated for the detection of Annexin A1, and is a valuable tool to detect the presence or absence of Annexin A1 in tissue samples. |
