Tau Antibody is designed for detection of Tau/MAPT protein expressing tissue or lysates. Tau proteins are abundant in the neurons of the central nervous system (CNS) which play a role as stabilizing microtubules. Studies have shown tau plays a pathological aggregation role in Alzheimer’s disease, most commonly via tau tangles. The hyperphospholation of tau protein have been associated with other taupathies. |
