Human iPSC-Neural Stem Cells (SOD1 mutant, A4V, HOM) are derived from integration-free induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines. Cells are provided at passage 1. iPSC-derived NSCs are a valuable source of in vitro models for complex, polygenic human diseases, and are useful for drug discovery and cell-based therapy applications.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a devastating neurodegenerative disease. Researchers have identified over mutations in the SOD1 gene associated with ALS, with the A4V and H46R mutations being the most prominent. The A4V mutation, involving the replacement of alanine at position 4 with valine, is the most common genetic cause of ALS in the U.S.
