Human Pancreatic Microvascular Endothelial Cells

HPMECs were initiated by elutriation from dissociated normal human pancreatic tissue. Passage 1 cells are ship in proliferating culture with a confluency of >90 %. ENDO-Growth Medium (MED001) is recommended for culture. Cells have an average additional population doubling levels >15 when cultured.

• Cytoplasmic VWF / Factor VIII: >95% positive by immunofluorescence
• Cytoplasmic uptake of Di-I-Ac-LDL: >95% positive by immunofluorescence
• Cytoplasmic PECAM1 >95% positive by immunofluorescence

HPMECs are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, and mycoplasma.

*cells are shipped at 90% confluence. However, confluence can be lost during shipping. Please allow for 1-4 days to reach 90% confluence again. As the cells are shipped live, extreme weather (including extreme cold or heat) can be a factor if we are able to ship or not.
