Tyrosine Hydroxylase (TH) is a vital enzyme in the generation of L-DOPA from the amino acid tyrosine. TH expression is restricted in the brain, but expressed highly in locations where it is found. TH antibodies are useful in identifying chatecholaminergic neurons and dopaminergic neurons, which is particularly relevant for research into Parkinson's disease. |
